The Domestic

Space can be considered a social creation. The meaning attributed to a city, a park or a building is filtered by experience unique to the individual who occupies a space. The domestic space we inhabit is no different. One or more people may share the same house, apartment or even room and have vastly different understandings of that space. This series of photographs is my interpretation of domestic space and that ambiguity of spatial experience, through my friends, family and their living spaces. Images made between 2011-2013.
